Katie Burch began performing comedy at the age of 30 as part of an ongoing midlife crisis. In her first year she was crowned runner up in JJJ’s National Comedy Competition, where she took home a prize, of over one hundred and eighty dollars. Since then she has performed to pretty much every type of crowd, including: an entirely French speaking audience in Switzerland, a room full of male models in Sydney, and cowboys in the bush at The Gympie Muster. She has been the opening act for people with heaps more money than her, such as Fiona O’loughlin, Jimoein and Norah Jones. Reviewers have called her dry, witty and absolutely hilarious, which is much nicer than the things that she has called them. See her now before she is much more expensive.
