The Moods formed in late 1991, meeting on various gigs around town.
They started playing at weddings and parties.
Since then Joern, Shane and Chris have been joined by Duncan on drums in 1996 and Todd on trumpet in 2002. The Moods are based in Sydney, playing at restaurants, pubs & clubs, weddings, parties and jazz festivals.

Their large repertoire draws from Trad Jazz, Swing, Vocal Standards, Latin and Rhythm & Blues,
such as the music of Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Sergio Mendes, James Brown
plus many other artists.
For dancing or listening The Moods have a repertoire to please most musical tastes.

With over 12 years experience the band plays regularly at many Sydney venues, jazz festivals and private parties.

Events & Parties - perfect for any event. They can perform unplugged - low key background music while your guests mingle or be the feature entertainment for the evening.

Perfect for birthday parties, awards nights, dinner dances, Christmas parties, harbour cruises and corporate events.

Weddings- Make your night one to remember with the music of The Moods.The Moods can play unplugged for a garden ceremony and cocktails before entertaining guests for dinner and dancing.

When it's time, the tempo is picked up with a dance set to entertain all tastes and age groups.Requests are welcomed.

Standard Set-up The Moods are self contained with a vocal PA (for up to 120 guests), lights for stage colour, and a speech microphone. CDs are played between sets. They are experts playing in rooms with volume restrictions and can play acoustically if required ie. no amplifiction.

Dress Dinner suit, suit & tie, smart casual or resort wear ( hawaiian shirt, hat & light coloured trousers - like an American tourist) are standard requests we have ready to go. Should you require something special, just ask.
