Emerging during the mid 1990s and comprising an ensemble of performers from top Queensland acts, Hippopotamus quickly earned a reputation as one of the State's top party bands. With international performances in Japan, residencies at resorts in the Whitsundays and contracts in the Northern Territory and New South Wales, Hippopotamus have honed their authentic sound and gathered a comprehensive repertoire of material ranging from golden oldies and pop, to current top 40 rock and dance.

Hippopotamus continue to set the benchmark for cover bands in South East Queensland. With assignments as the Coca Cola Zero band, and long-term clients such as Jupiters Casino, plus a veritable 'whose who' of top corporate customers, Hippopotamus remain the premier three piece act of their type.
