AUSTRALIA'S LEADING SUPPLIER OF CORPORATE & SPECIAL EVENT ENTERTAINMENT CLASSICAL ARTISTS
JANE RUTTER BASED: Sydney, Australia "the Bette Midler of the Flute"
-
Jane Rutter
has established
herself as one of Australia's most brilliant and versatile flautists.
One of the few classical flautists in the world with the ability to
cross over successfully into jazz and pop,
Jane
has
been described by the Sydney Morning Herald as "Australia's only
classical pop star".
-
Jane Rutter
studied flute at the
Sydney Conservatorium of
Music.
She was then awarded a French government scholarship and spent three
years studying in Paris with two of the great flautists of the 20th
century -
Alain Marion
and
Jean-Pierre
Rampal
- "From them I learnt that
musical interpretation is equal parts intellect, emotion, sensuality and
sexuality of the performer." says
Jane.
-
Jane Rutters
charismatic performance style has captured the
imagination of Australian audiences. Some of her earlier theatrical
antics include appearing nude on her first album cover with her group
Posh, and playing Ravel's Bolero in her cabaret show at the legendary
Tillbury Hotel in a swimsuit and Bo Derek wig. With an impeccable
classical degree and a flair for entertainment, she has been dubbed "the
Bette Midler of the flute".
- Since 1990,
Jane Rutter
has been a household name in Australia, appearing on every major
television show including a 60 Minutes feature. In 1994 she was a
television presenter on Channel Nine's Getaway.
- She has appeared with most of
the
Australian symphony
orchestras
and the
Australian Chamber
Orchestra,
and has performed as a soloist with
Christopher Hogwood,
Gerard Willems,
Marshall McGuire,
Suzanne Johnston,
David Hirschfelder,
Simon Tedeschi,

and tenor

"To work with Jane Rutter has been pure joy. She plays like a great opera singer. Her innate musicality and incredible energy inspired us all" - Richard Bonynge " Rutter is technically brilliant. She brings to her instrument a feel, an emotion, almost an impressionism that greatly adds to her hold over the listener" - Herald Sun INTERNATIONAL SUPPLIERS OF QUALITY TALENT AUSTRALIA'S BEST Cover Bands , Comedians , Recording Artists, Corporate Entertainment DJ's, Celebrity Speakers , Cabaret Shows , Jazz , Tribute Shows & Impersonators String Quartets & Ensembles , Magicians , Novelty Entertainment , Audio Visual & Staging Hire and so much more.
