JAMES O'LOGHLIN

James O’Loghlin is one of Australia’s most respected, entertaining and experienced corporate speakers and media personalities, best known as the host of over 300 episodes of “The New inventors” on ABC-TV, and for his witty and entertaining programs on ABC Local Radio
He has been delighting corporate audiences for over a decade and is equally at home giving keynote speeches on innovation, facilitating panel discussions or acting as MC for awards nights, conferences and other events.

James became a commercial lawyer in 1991 and soon after realised that he had made a terrible mistake. He then became a stand-up comedian and a criminal lawyer. Through the 90’s he was a lawyer by day and comedian by night, whilst also juggling television appearances “Good News Week,” “Hey, Hey It’s Saturday”, and more, whilst also working as a writer for Andrew Denton on his Triple M breakfast show, and at the Logies.  In 1998 he performed “Lawyer, Lawyer”, to full houses at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

From 1999 to 2001 James hosted 3 television shows: “O’Loghlin on Saturday Night” and “People Dimensions” on the ABC, and “Inside the Arena” on Foxtel.

In 2002 he moved to radio, hosting “The Evening Show” on ABC Local Radio in NSW and the ACT and in 2004 he became the host of the iconic “The New Inventors,” on ABC-TV.
It was this role that fuelled James’ interest in innovation, a subject upon which he now regularly gives keynote speeches; about the practical things we can all do every day to become more innovative, and about the ways in which companies can create a culture that encourages innovation

Since 2009 James has hosted “Sunday Evenings with James O’Loghlin” on ABC Local Radio, and he is the author of 4 books, including “How to Balance Your Life”, “Umm…A Complete Guide to Public Speaking”, and “Andy’s Secret Weapon”, a story for children.
