YUMMY OPERA

Two gorgeous sexy divas, fabulous frocks and one of the most original acts in the corporate market – Yummy Opera is the perfect feature act for your event. A wonderful blend of glamour, stunning voices and a hilarious show devised and directed by Glynn Nicholas that is unmatched in the corporate arena. Yummy Opera will entertain and seduce you and your clients from cocktails to the main event….visually and musically stunning, Yummy Opera is the perfect choice for your formal event, conference or corporate gathering.

THE DIVAS

Our select Yummy Opera cast are classically trained and have considerable performance experience in either opera, theatre or special events. We undertake a rigorous audition and rehearsal process to ensure that our divas not only meet the musical and comedy challenges, but are also totally professional, warm and (to be blunt) not up themselves. There is a choice of shows ranging in duration and in price adapted to suit clients’ requirements.

Yummy 1 Raffle tickets (30 minutes with 2 Divas)

During cocktails or entrée, two gorgeous women are mingling and dispensing raffle tickets to the guests. They politely chat, flirt and generally make themselves known to everyone at the event. Later, they take to the stage to announce the winner of the raffle. The door prize is in fact, a door (a small one, souvenired by the winner.)
With their cover blown, their first song could be described as delicious flirtation with the masses, combining witty lyrics with fabulous vocal prowess. This is followed with more classical or operatic arias chosen to suit the occasion.

Yummy 2 Photographer (30 minutes with 2 Divas)

Before the main event begins your guests are approached by a friendly female photographer and her friend, supposedly hired by the client to pose with guests, make them comfortable and to generally be helpful as guests arrive. The photos are fun and the girls are warm and friendly. Later, they reveal themselves as the entertainment and while they are performing their song about finding love and the man of their dreams, some of the recently-taken photographs appear on the screen, integrating and linking the guests to the song. Note that photographs of one or more of the client’s senior management team, sent to GNG previously can be used to great comic effect! This is followed with 2 more classical or operatic arias chosen to suit the occasion.

Yummy 3 Carmen (45 minutes with accompanist)

This version includes either the raffle or the photographer PLUS the hilarious piece de resistance, a performance of Bizet's masterpiece, Carmen, performed in its entirety (less all the boring bits) in 15 minutes
The hard-working accompanist provides a sumptuous underscore to the whole event – suitably attired and trying his/her best to control the Divas to little avail.

Yummy for longer

Yummy Opera can also extend their performance to cover the entire event, from the time your guests arrive to the conclusion of the main event – details available on request.
